About Bhote Koshi River Rafting

Bhote Koshi Rafting is regarded as one of the best short and the steep river rafting adventure in Nepal through steep non-stop mountain river “Bhote Koshi” which run from Tibet. This short river journey makes you run on some of the best technical rapids class rapids ranges from class 3 to class 5 passing through magnificent gorges and valleys.

The main put-in point for Bhote Koshi River is Baseri/Lasmasanghu which is at 3-4 hour travelling distance from Kathmandu by private vehicle. Bhote Koshi Rafting is ideal for those looking for a short but intense and thrilling rafting trip. This upper section of the river is a bit harder with the rapid class of grade 5+ making it more challenging. The continuous rapid action along the journey makes this river rafting a full-on commitment and a huge adrenaline rush making it better suited for those who have some previous rafting experiences of expert paddlers.

Tentative a Day Rafting Plan

6:30 am: Reporting time

7:00 am: Drive from Kathmandu in Private vehicle

10:00 am: Reach Rafting put-in-point at Baseri/ Lasmasanghu

11:00 am: Rafting Gear Set-Up

11:30 am: Rafting Start

2:30 pm: Finished Rafting at Dolalghat

3:00 pm: Lunch and Process back to Kathmandu

Itinerary

After early breakfast, we drive to Baseri along the windy road from Kathmandu. It is approximately 3-4 hours’ drive. En route you pass through many villages, green fields and you can also see the spectacular view of Himalayas of Nepal. Upon reaching Baseri our guide will give you short instruction about the trip and safety measures. Please listen to the instruction carefully which is essential for safety and having a good time. Our water adventure starts at Baseri. After 3 hours of rafting, we stop by the camping sites for lunch. After lunch, our rafting crew will set a camping site for you for overnight stay.

Our second-day rafting starts after breakfast. We will continue our rafting passing through many fantastic rapids, gorge and valleys. The rafting terminated at Dolalghat. After lunch, we drive back to Kathmandu apprehending the memorable experience in our soul. 

Cost Detail

  • All Ground Transportation (One-way tourist bus & one-way Local bus or Private vehicle) or as per itinerary.
  • All International standard rafting equipment as necessary (Such as self-bailing Rafts, Helmets, Life Jackets, Kayaks, Paddles, waterproofs bags, waterproof Barrels and first aid kit.
  • Well-Trained and highly experienced English speaking guides and safety kayakers, cooks and other helper crew member.
  • If 2D 1N trip: Accommodation in twin-sharing for 2 person capacity tent during the rafting including camping equipment and cooking utensils mainly tents, mattress, sleeping bags and kitchen gears.
  • Meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner as per the itinerary. The foods are freshly prepared.
  • Salary, insurance and all experiences of guide and all crew members
  • All necessary fees, Government/Local taxes and river permits
  • Any extra Lunch and dinner incurred before or after the trip due to unseen conditions.
  • Emergency rescue evacuation (to be covered by the client’s travel insurance).
  • Tips and Gratuities to the guide(s), and crew members (Tipping is expected).
  • Any person expenditure on alcoholic drinks and beverages.
  • Personal travel and health insurance and other personal expenses (phone call, battery recharge, laundry, and extra food
  • Additional private transportation except what is mentioned in the itinerary.
