About Jalberi Waterfall Canyoning

Jalbire Canyoning tour is one of the popular Canyoning in Nepal located on Kalibas, opposite site of Mugling Naranyanghat highway. Jalbire waterfall is 110km far from Kathmandu and approx. 2-hour drive to Kathmandu to Mugling and about 20-minute drive to the south from Mugling will take you to Jalbire canyon.

The unique setting of Jalbire with about 100m high waterfall, numerous water pools, and rocky formation make Jalbire the best destination for Canyoning in Nepal. Sliding down rock slides and jumping on the pristine pools of turquoise water from giant rocks will definitely be the best moments of adventure and thrill of your day. You will also be walking pass unspoiled dense forest and get the opportunity to explore the rich flora and fauna. The best time for this adventure sport is the month of April, May, June, September, October and November

The beginners can also join this trip as there are always professional teaching and briefing you regarding canyoning. You get to learn the about knots, belaying, rappelling, lead climbing and multi-pitch which can be interesting.

Kathmandu to Jalbire Waterfall | Canyoning Day Tour in Nepal Itinerary

5:30 am: Pick up from the hotel and Drive to Kathmandu to Jalbire. Stop for breakfast and refreshments on the way at your own expense

10:30 am: Arrive at Jalbire waterfall canyoning site. Hike to the hill (25-30min)

11:30 am: set up for Canyoning

Before getting started for canyoning tour you will have 20-minute safety briefing where you get to learn about the safety measures and gears handling. You will change to more appropriate clothing and given canyoning equipment. You will be asked to fill up some form.

11:40 am: Start Canyoning Tour

During Jalberi canyoning you will come across 5 waterfalls. If the weather is good and the water level permits, you will get to enjoy canyoning in all the five waterfalls. But if the water level is dangerous, you will not be allowed to do the jumps.

5:00 pm: Drive back to Kathmandu

  • Internationally imported canyoning equipment including full personal outfitting of full-body wetsuits, specialized harnesses with PVC slider seats, specialized canyoning booties, ropes, karabiners, helmets, etc.
