Gosainkunda Lake Trekking region is even recognized as the land of 108 lakes. This place has many exotic glacier lakes, small to medium in size scattered around the region. Gosainkunda, Surya Kunda, Naag Kunda and Bhairav Kunda are some of the popular lakes. Gosainkunda Lake is located at an elevation of 4380m and you will be walking through diverse landscapes, terraced fields, and varied vegetation ranging from subtropical to alpine forests with a beautiful view of the Himalayas along the trail.

Gosainkunda Lake has great religious significance and is popular among the Hindu and Buddhist religion. Every year thousands of pilgrimages trek to Gosainkunda to take a holy bath in this sacred lake. During Janai Purnima in full moon of August, you can find large numbers of Hindu pilgrimage flock to this site to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva and you can also witness Shamans performing an exotic spiritual dance in the lakeside.

Gosainkunda Lake trek journey starts from an hour drive to Sundarijal followed by a trek to Chisapani from Kathmandu. Chisapani lies in Shivapuri National Park and gateway to Gosainkunda Lake trek. It is a popular hiking destination and famous spot to witness sunrise and sunset over Langtang, Everest, Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. As you continue the trek, you will be welcomed by lush wild nature and beautiful picturesque villages and get to enjoy the hospitality of Sherpa and Tamang.
