Khopra Ridge Khayer Lake trekking is one of the newly promoted trekking routes in the Annapurna region and also comparatively less crowded than other trekking routes of Annapurna Region in Nepal. This trek takes you to the mountain ridge of Khopra Danda at 3640m and Khayer Lake at 4660m and offers an extraordinary view of Annapurna massif, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, Nilgiri, Tukuche peak etc.
Khopra Ridge Khayer Lake trek starts from the drive to Pokhara and next day trek to Ghandruk. The trail is dominated by the colourful rhododendron and bamboo forest, and traditional settlement of Gurung and Magar ethnic people. The trek continues to Tadapani and from here onward the trek goes off the busy trekking trail and our real trek to unexposed and unspoiled Khopra Ridge Khayer Lake trail begins. The trails continue to traverse through meadows, ridges, rivers, forest, streams and narrow-steep hill. Along the trail, you will find basic community-run teahouse and opportunity to closely observe the local lifestyle, tradition and culture. Passing through Dobato and Chistibung village, you will finally reach Khopra Ridge.
